Job Description
Fabricator 1st Class responsible for planning and developing layouts from blueprints and templates, designing and constructing templates and fixtures, and directing welders to build up low spots or short pieces with weld.
Requirements
- Plan and develop layouts from blueprints and templates
- Design and construct templates and fixtures
- Direct welders to build up low spots or short pieces with weld
- Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences
- Layout and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed
- Align and fit parts according to specifications
- Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications
