Job Description
The Power Analyst role provides fundamental research and market intelligence to support the East Power Desk, analyzing supply-demand dynamics, price formation, and generation and load dynamics across Eastern interconnect markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 2–5 years in energy markets, trading analytics, system operations, or fundamental power research.
- Strong modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and at least one programming language: Python, SQL, R, MATLAB, or C++.
- Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
- Familiarity with YES Energy, ISO portals, or market data platforms is an asset.
