Dam Engineer Lead

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking a Supervising Dam Engineer for our Fairfield, New Jersey office. The position offers great potential for professional growth and the opportunity to apply the latest technologies to our dam/levee-related projects.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field of practice
• Professional Engineer license in NJ
• 15-20 years of experience in civil – geotechnical engineering
• Direct experience with public sector/municipal agencies in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania
• Proven experience with design and development of engineering technical specifications, cost estimating and other related bidding documents
• Seller-doer marketing and business development experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to speak publicly
• Solid project financial management skills; knowledge of production support systems and personal computer proficiency
• Experience in providing technical and project leadership to staff-level or junior engineers
• Knowledge of dam and levee safety guidelines utilized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Natural Resource Conservation Service, and other Federal agencies, as well as State Dam Safety agencies
