Summer 2026 Basic Books Group Editorial Internship

The Summer 2026 Basic Books Group Editorial Internship is a 12-week internship program that offers college students, graduating seniors, or recent graduates the opportunity to learn about the publishing industry and explore an area of interest. The intern will work closely with seasoned professionals, gain hands-on professional experience, and assist editorial staff with projects related to book publishing.

Requirements

• College student, graduating senior, or recent graduate
• Strong interest in nonfiction book publishing
• Comfortable working with books across nonfiction categories and the political spectrum
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Resourceful with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities and work independently
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
