Engineering Manager

HackerRank is a platform that helps companies build strong engineering teams by identifying and investing in next-generation skills. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical vision and execution for the HackerRank Developer Community product, partnering with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to ensure community features are deeply integrated into the HackerRank ecosystem.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in designing enterprise systems, building highly-available, scalable, fault-tolerant, secure, distributed systems
• 2+ years of engineering management including hands-on technical management
• Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
• Self-driven, initiative-taker with good communication skills, ability to hire, lead and mentor technical teams, meet deadlines, manage stakeholder expectations
• Hands-on technical depth in one or more modern programming languages, with strong emphasis on engineering fundamentals and scalable system design
