Mechanical Engineer, Factory Automation

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. We are seeking a skilled and driven Mechanical Engineer to join Hadrian’s Factory Automation division, a team dedicated to building and scaling Hadrian’s core machining business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics or related discipline.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
• Experience designing and commissioning end of arm tooling and fixturing for industrial robotic applications
• Experience designing and commissioning layouts and floor plans for robotic cells
• Experience with material selection, finite element analysis, and payload analysis for heavy (500 kg) robotic applications
• Strong skills in integrating sensors and pneumatic and mechanical components
• Strong skills performing risk assessments in accordance with safety standards such as ISO 13849 or ANSI B11
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems using diagnostic tools and lead structured root cause analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
