The Structures Mechanic has the responsibility to inspect, overhaul, repair, modify and troubleshoot airframe parts. The Mechanic will repair, restore and modify airframe structure in accordance with approved data and drawings.
Requirements
- Effectively communicate with and assist Aircraft Engineers in developing repair solutions and modifications for transport aircraft.
- Accomplish non-complex jobs with moderate supervision and more complex jobs under direct supervision.
- Inspect, overhaul, repair, modify and troubleshoot airframe parts.
- Refers to technical drawings and written instructions to accomplish specific tasks as needed.
- Follows company protocols to maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization within the hangar or workshop.
- Responsible for attaching parts tags to repairable, serviceable, or condemned parts.
- Perform work within estimated hours.
- Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.
- Interface effectively with members of management, other departments and coworkers.
- Perform other work as instructed by the Structures Lead Mechanic or Maintenance Supervisor.
