The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that food products meet established quality standards, participating in the on-going development of the quality control program, and monitoring employees for compliance with GMPs/GWPs and company standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Ensure continuous improvement and adequacy of quality control systems to support business and customer expectations.
- Adheres to safe work practices.
- Participate in the on-going development of the quality control program.
- Monitor the employees for compliance with GMPs/GWPs and company standard operating procedures.
- Train the employees on company food handling policies to increase their awareness of GMPs and food safety.
- Routinely monitor processing and finished product for acceptance to target or specifications. Conduct daily, weekly and monthly internal inspections. Report findings to relevant departments; following up on the corrective actions to ensure their timely completion.
- Perform pre-operational checks (when required) and environmental swabbing. Communicate any findings to the Manager/supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with different departments to report any non-Conformances eg. product quality, GMP etc.
- Perform daily quality inspections, evaluation of retained sample, random product inspection, returned product inspection, newly developed product shelf life.
- Collect product samples for micro testing.
- Ensure all daily records are completed accurately and within time before submission.
- Help in investigating internal/external customer complaints.
- Handle confidential information in a professional and sensitive manner.
- Other related duties as directed by FSQA Manager
