Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with the Lead I&C Engineer to provide support for a variety of testing activities, including instrument and control system design, prototype development, and commissioning.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with industrial instrumentation, automation, or robotics
- Background in experimental hardware, instrumentation design, and engineering best practices
- Familiarity with data acquisition hardware/software (e.g., National Instruments, Siemens)
- Experience in designing and programming advanced control systems (SCADA, DAQ, PLC, DCS)
- Knowledge of I&C systems with multiple I/O signals from diverse sensors
- Field experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing electrical/I&C systems
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
