Job Description
Our client, a rapidly growing advanced engineering company, is searching for a Nuclear Shielding Engineer. This role will join a multidisciplinary analysis team supporting the design and deployment of advanced energy technologies.
Requirements
- Performing radiation-shielding design analyses for power systems and radiological facilities, including dose, energy deposition, and material degradation calculations.
- Designing and executing sensitivity studies to evaluate modeling assumptions (geometry complexity, meshing, variance-reduction techniques, transport options).
- Ensuring final shielding designs meet all radiation and safety requirements.
- Developing and maintaining clear documentation of requirements, analyses, and results for traceability and technical rigor.
- Reviewing models, calculations, and reports for accuracy and compliance with technical standards.
- Supporting requirements development and strategic planning for new program initiatives.
