Probabilistic Risk Assessment Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Engineer to support the development of advanced reactor technologies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and assessing risk models, performing hazard analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Lead the PRA activities in support of reactor design, working in coordination with plant design, safety analysis, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure the PRA models meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, including risk-informed performance-based guidelines for advanced reactors.
• Develop and refine fault trees and event trees to align with the most current reactor designs.
• Perform risk integration, reporting on risk metrics and importance measures to support decision-making.
• Conduct focused PRA analysis to evaluate trade studies and inform reactor design choices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define functional, reliability, performance, safety, and quality requirements for reactor components.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on reliability and PRA-related topics to engineers and managers.
• Document model development processes and analysis results thoroughly to ensure traceability and transparency.
• Review engineering designs and analyses to ensure safety and reliability standards are met.
