Propulsion Engineer – Deputy Lead

Hansell Tierney is partnering with an innovative aerospace engineering organization to identify a Propulsion Engineer - Deputy Lead to join their growing team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on mechanical and fluid subsystem design experience, combined with the ability to lead technical execution in a fast-paced development environment.

Requirements

• Contribute to the development, build, test, and operation of propulsion flight and ground hardware
• Perform structural, fluid, and thermal analysis of mechanical components and assemblies
• Develop and document test requirements, plans, procedures, and reports
• Create component and assembly drawings for flight and ground test hardware
• Support integration of propulsion components and assemblies onto flight vehicles and ground systems
• Execute component- and assembly-level testing in preparation for integrated subsystem testing
• Develop engineering tools as needed to support execution
• Maintain inventory tracking of critical propulsion components
• Manage supplier relationships with key vendors
• Own and maintain clean room technical processes
• Coordinate engineering release schedules in partnership with shop planning
• Track propulsion system configurations
• Review and release drawings, work instructions, and analysis documentation
• Maintain regular, comprehensive communication with the Propulsion Lead
• Support integration of complex aerospace systems
• Demonstrate strong ownership, integrity, and accountability
