Lead Accountant– EMEA

We are seeking a Lead Accountant to join our Finance department in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of key accounting activities, including month-end close process, statutory reporting, and audit coordination for multiple European entities. The role requires strong knowledge of IFRS, experience working in an IFRS-based reporting framework, and a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience. The candidate will also have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience working within an IFRS-based reporting framework
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating effective prioritization, a proactive approach, and confidence in working independently
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Proven ability to operate effectively in a complex, multicultural, international environment, collaborating across countries, time zones, and functions
