Job Description
HARMAN is looking for a Software Design Engineer to work on UEFI, embedded firmware, and OS Drivers. The role involves partnering with silicon partners, system engineers, and firmware engineers to deliver product designs for high-volume consumer products.
Requirements
- 9+ years of professional experience designing and developing software solutions
- 5+ years of experience in developing software in C/C++
- Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in UEFI/BIOS, embedded firmware, or device drivers
- Experience in reviewing HW schematics
- Working knowledge of OS primitives: memory management, scheduling, interrupts, threading and ACPI
- Experience working with windows drivers and windows kernel debugger
- Experience with test automation
- Experience with GIT, JTAG, JSON, Python
