Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer will assist in managing, scheduling, and purchasing for various types of construction projects. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. The position involves working in a variety of conditions relative to construction job site environments.
Requirements
- Understand, support, and adhere to Harper safety requirements
- Observe and correct violations as they arise on project sites
- Plan work and purchase materials with safety in mind
- Expedite material procurement, approval, and delivery as necessary to promote accurate and efficient project construction
- Prepare and track all necessary submittals
- Obtain required material certifications
- Assist Project Manager with material billing preparations
- Order necessary materials and supplies
- Maintain project files, current drawings, and production records
- Assist in the preparation and submittal of all documentation and records required for change orders
- Assist in the analysis of cost for extra work
- Assist Project Manager in the overall coordination of projects including subcontractors
- Approve receiving invoices
- Optimize cash flow
- Build and maintain positive subcontractor relationships
- Identify, pursue, and recover fair compensation for all changes in scope
