Promotes the company mission statement by participating in the work of a crew performing exterior pipe installation, concrete forming/pouring/finishing, heavy equipment operation and process equipment installation.
Requirements
- Thread pipe using threading machine.
- Bend pipe using a pipe bending machine.
- Assemble and install a variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings.
- Join pipe through threading, soldering, gluing, and bolting.
- Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets, and hangers.
- Bolt up pipe.
- Set pumps.
- Install small interior PVC and copper pipe.
- Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.
- Elect specified type of lumber or other materials.
- Mark cutting and assembly lines on materials, using a pencil, chalk, and marking gage.
- Shape materials to prescribed measurements, using saws, chisels, and planes.
- Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above the ground level.
- Proficient in rigging and flagging cranes.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and carpenters.
- Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Must be flexible and accept change often.
- Must be detail oriented.
- A “Can Do” attitude.
