As an Account Follow-Up Representative, you'll help resolve unpaid insurance claims for hospital patients by following up with insurance companies, managing patient accounts, and documenting steps taken.

Requirements

• Follow up on unpaid hospital patient accounts with insurance companies
• Manage 30-40 patient accounts daily for assigned insurance providers
• Address denied claims and zero-payment reports within 48 hours
• Research unpaid accounts and guide them through the correct process
• Document findings and next steps clearly
• Submit work hours accurately and on time
• Keep up-to-date on insurance rules and collection laws
• Attend team meetings
• Follow all HIPAA privacy and security rules
• Uphold company policies and procedures
