Job Description
Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking staff anesthesiologists with an Obstetric-fellowship or equivalent to care for approximately 5,000 women per year.
Requirements
- Fellowship trained in OB anesthesia or equivalent
- Ability to provide full spectrum of anesthesia to the pregnant patient
- Placement of neurxial anesthesia, spinal injections and epidural catheters
- Experience with Point-of-care ultrasound for procedures and patient assessment
- Obstetric management of high-risk pregnancies
- Proficiency in discussing pros and cons of various treatment options with patients, surgeons and ancillary staff or family members
- Adhere to ethical principles, and sensitivity to diverse patient populations
