Job Description
Carpenter position at Haselden Construction. Responsibilities include studying blueprints, selecting materials, and assembling structures. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401K plan.
Requirements
- Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans
- Selects specified type of lumber or other materials
- Maintains a clean work area
- Marking cutting and assembly lines on materials
- Shaping materials to prescribed measurements
- Verifies trueness of structure
- Erects framework for structures and lays subflooring
- Builds stairs and lays out and installs partitions and cabinet work
- Applies shock-absorbing, sound-deadening, and decorative paneling to ceilings and walls
- Fits and installs prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finish hardware
- Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Welds metal parts to steel structural members
