Job Description
Hatch is seeking a Senior Rail Vehicle Mechanical Engineer to join their North American Infrastructure Practice in their vehicle mechanical engineering group in Ambler, PA. The ideal candidate will have broad-based knowledge of rail vehicle mechanical engineering and experience in conducting fleet inspections, maintenance shop practices, and equipment installation in a rail or industrial environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 20 years of relevant experience with commuter rail, freight rail or transit projects
- Respect in the rail industry with knowledge of the local market and respected connections in the Transit Authority market
- Experience in managing the engineering aspect of projects
- Experience in rail operations, train planning, rail equipment maintenance facility design and track maintenance
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a rail or transit project environment
