Job Description
Hatch is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its Tailings, Mine Waste and Mine Closure (Tailings) Practice group in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves designing tailings storage facilities, preparing trade-off studies, and supporting the team with geotechnical analyses, slope stability assessments, and field investigations. This position contributes to Hatch's global commitment to sustainable mining practices and is ideal for a highly motivated and technically focused individual.
Requirements
- Carry out a tailings storage facility design project.
- Prepare and review trade-off studies, feasibility to detailed engineering studies.
- Support the team in identifying and solving geotechnical issues.
- Develop and manage field and laboratory investigation programs.
- Develop and manage geotechnical instrumentation monitoring programs.
- Develop and manage geotechnical communication, supervision, and mentorship programs.
