Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of principles and practice of real estate management, negotiations and appraisal
- Good working knowledge of the State Land Court and the Bureau of Conveyances
- Working knowledge of County Real Property Tax System (tax maps, title district)
- Basic knowledge of the County subdivision process
- Thorough knowledge of legal documents including grants of easement
- Working knowledge of personal computers and/or mainframe systems and related software applications
- Ability to handle difficult confidential and/or sensitive issues
- Excellent written, oral, listening and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
- Ability to conceptualize new ideas
- Strong commitment to teamwork and customer service
- Must have or be able to qualify as a Notary Public
- Several years (3-6) of professional level experience in real property planning/management, acquisition/sales, appraisal and/or title investigation
- A minimum of two (2) years of documented real estate staff/project management experience
- Several years (2-4) work experience in Hawaii real estate, related laws, regulations and requirements
