Job Description
Haymarket Center is seeking a Recovery Specialist to provide individual services to adults in substance-abusing individuals. The role involves assisting clients in building recovery resources, developing Recovery Plans, and ensuring ongoing client engagement. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, evidence-based treatment facility focused on success and participation.
Requirements
- Able to empathize with clients, focusing on and reinforcing positive strengths and behaviors
- Able to work with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds
- Comfortable working independently in community settings
- Able to work flexible hours
- Able to connect clients to a range of community resources
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred
- Knowledge in substance abuse or related field
- NCRS or CADC preferred
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Good computer literacy
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to drive through agency’s insurance program
