
Job description
The Automotive Power Solutions group seeks a skilled engineering technician to support the applications engineering team with high quality power electronics laboratory work. This includes developing test assemblies where electro-mechanical integration is key. The successful candidate will help conceive, design, fabricate, assemble, operate, and maintain bench-top setups that test the performance of onsemi parts for real-life applications.
Perform handler conversion and setup to support device/package qualification requirements, assist in ATE tester setup and configuration, support execution of engineering lot testing, conduct fall-out verification, perform spike checking, assist in initial failure analysis and fall-out investigation, compile and maintain test reports and engineering documentation.
This position offers the opportunity to develop electro-mechanical hardware, teststand control software, interfaces between digital controllers and the test apparatus, working with high accuracy instrumentation in a power laboratory, while developing 3D CAD modeling and computer simulation skills.
