Job Description
HDR is seeking a Construction Engineer to perform complex construction assignments, conduct project field coordination, and document observations of construction. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction engineering.
Requirements
- Perform complex construction assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard construction engineering techniques and procedures
- Conduct project field coordination, documentation, cost monitoring, bidding and scheduling
- Receive, issue and track RFIs, submittals and other required data
- Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure
- Monitor, record, and inspect progress on construction projects
- Compose reports with a daily log of activities, personnel, and pictures to send to clients daily
- Conduct or Coordinate field materials sampling and testing
- Participate in client development and project pursuits
- Work outdoors and navigate construction sites in all seasons
- Perform other duties as needed
