Job Description
HDR is seeking an ICT/Security BIM Designer to join their Building Engineering Services Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D design software, document management infrastructure, and a strong understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.
Requirements
- Work alongside Senior ICT/Security Technical Specialist to deliver accurate and professional design documents.
- General engineering knowledge of either telecommunications (horizontal/backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance) or willingness to learn.
- Collaborate with Junior and Senior ICT/Security designers to ensure customer needs/objectives are reflected in the 3-D model utilizing Revit or similar software
- Work independently to complete project related construction documents in Revit to show design intent and assist with system related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities.
- Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs, and other project related requirements.
- Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when support is needed.
- Regularly perform de-clash exercises in Revit to ensure ICT/Security scopes are well coordinated in with other disciplines.
- Perform other duties as needed.
