Job Description
HDR is looking for an NBIS Bridge Inspector Team Lead to lead bridge inspections and prepare reports in accordance with NBIS and NCDOT. The position requires physical ability to perform field inspections of in-service bridge and culvert structures, overhead sign structures, and metal traffic signal poles.
Requirements
- Meets one of the following: 5 years of bridge inspection experience OR BS in Civil Engineering, EIT and two years of bridge inspection experience OR PE license and two years of bridge inspection experience
- Applicable NHI certifications
- Experience with NCDOT inspection software
- A valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Willing to travel (overnight) / perform field work
- Local candidates are preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years experience
- Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
