Job Description
HDR is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead technical roles on bridge design projects and perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design. The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in Structural Engineering and 8+ years of experience in bridge design, inspection, and load ratings. They should have working knowledge of bridge and tunnel standards and software packages such as Microstation and LEAP Bridge Enterprise. Strong communication skills and a willingness to work in a team environment are also essential.
Requirements
- Serve in a lead technical role on bridge design projects
- Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects
- Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable) box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects
- Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, and supervise more junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks
