Job Description
HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Battery Energy Storage Systems to support grid scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, evaluate and analyze energy storage technologies, and develop detailed electrical engineering designs. The role requires a strong background in electrical design, experience with BESS, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate should be able to travel up to 10% domestic and international.
Requirements
- Support grid scale BESS projects
- Evaluate and analyze energy storage technologies
- Develop detailed electrical engineering designs
- Support microgrid and distributed energy resources projects
- Develop written technical reports
- Coordinate with civil, structural, and high-voltage electrical engineers
- Conduct quality assurance/quality control
- Provide construction phase technical support
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors
