Senior Health & Safety Advisor (Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane)

HDR is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people across Australia. This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne and offers flexible working arrangements, with the option of a part-time schedule (3 or 4 days per week) or an agreed flexible arrangement depending on the successful candidate.

Requirements

• Act as a visible champion for health, wellbeing and safety, supporting teams with practical advice and guidance.
• Support safety planning, deliver health and safety training, review safety documentation and contribute to initiatives across a range of projects and sectors.
• Create and implement comprehensive HSE Project Plans
• Work closely with project teams to ensure alignment with HSE Project Plans
• Conduct regular site inspections and HSE audits to monitor compliance
• Prepare reports to support ongoing HSE efforts
• Provide advice and recommendations to senior leadership on HSE matters
• Work alongside Operational Leadership and Human Resources to strengthen wellbeing initiatives and address psychosocial risks.
• Chair the Australian Safety Committee, prepare safety performance reporting, support SH&E program implementation, and assist with incident reporting and investigations.
• Foster and promote a strong safety culture across the organisation
