Job Description
HDR is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings. They should also have a Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
Requirements
- Lead the work of the mechanical design team
- Write and edit mechanical specifications
- Review mechanical documents
- Understand fan and pump curves
- Perform psychrometric calculations
- Develop sections and elevations for complex ductwork and piping areas
- Coordinate HVAC system control requirements
- Visit project sites
- Establish meetings with governing agencies
- Coordinate workload and complete project assignments
- Conduct virtual and on-site work sessions
- Work with Project Manager, Regional Controller and Regional Director
