Senior Mechanical Power Engineer

HDR is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our national Power Generation team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be joining a highly capable, multi-discipline team that supports power and energy projects primarily within the utility, IPP, industrial, and institutional sectors.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design.
• Gas turbine, steam turbine and/or large reciprocating engine experience or subject matter expertise.
• Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation
• Previous experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm desired.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, ideally in the fossil power industry with a blend of design and owner’s engineer projects.
• Have the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Willing to mentor less experienced engineers and EITs.
• Proficient at working within an established schedule and budget
