Job Description
At HDR, our Senior Electrical Power Engineer will help shape the future of electricity generation, transmission, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in power generation and distribution, renewable energy, and design projects. They will lead teams and mentor young engineers, support client relationships, and lead marketing activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering with an Electrical Power emphasis
- 15+ years' experience in electrical power generation and renewable energy design
- Field experience, including startup and commissioning, experience
- Renewable energy (PV, BESS, etc.) and DER or'microgrid' projects experience
- Previous experience with an engineering power consulting firm
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
