Job Description
As a Senior Traffic Engineer at HDR, you will perform complex traffic engineering projects, exercise sound engineering judgment, and preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) documents. You will also make decisions on design and engineering procedures, serve as a technical expert and task lead on large, complex projects, and coordinate design issues with clients and work with the project team to develop solutions to technical challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in ITS and traffic engineering for urban and rural highways, major and minor interchanges and intersections
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Knowledge of regulations of state and federal transportation agencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience using HCS, CORSIM, Synchro/SIM Traffic and other software packages
- Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work in a team environment
