As a Structural Engineer at HDR, you will help design critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive.
Requirements
- Proficient understanding of building gravity and lateral analysis as well as design of steel, concrete, and masonry systems
- Proficient in the use of Revit to model the building elements that you design
- Design engineering systems for large complex buildings in Health, Civic, Education and/or Science/Technology industries
- Mentor younger staff on contract document development, performing calculations, and code interpretations
- Develop drawings, write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, interpret code provisions, and complete necessary calculations
- Communicate effectively to all disciplines on the team
- Participate in quality control reviews and collaboratively resolve issues
- Respond to requests for information, change proposal requests, shop drawings, and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
