Structures Field Engineer

At HDR, we're looking for a Structures Field Engineer to support structural construction oversight on transportation and public infrastructure projects. The role involves assisting with contract administration, construction engineering, inspection, documentation, and coordination for bridge, retaining wall, falsework, and other structural components.

Requirements

• Coordinate and support LAWA Construction Inspection Division and City of LA with daily field inspections
• Prepare and maintain checklists for structures inspections, field material sampling and testing
• Maintain detailed field records including daily reports, quantity calculations, inspection logs, and photographic documentation
• Assist with review and processing of submittals, RFIs, Field Directives, request for task orders, change notices and change orders
• Monitor contractor progress and participate in schedule reviews and look-ahead coordination
• Communicate with the Structures Representative, contractor personnel, and agency stakeholders to resolve field issues
