Job Description
HDR is looking for a Substation Civil - Structural Engineer to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals. The successful candidate will be a part of a team that provides design support for large, medium, and small-scale substation engineering projects.
Requirements
- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium and High Voltage).
- Work with Designers and CADD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.
- Develop design deliverables including fabrication level steel drawings and foundation construction drawings.
- Participate on site visits during the design, construction and as-built phases of projects.
- May also assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase HDR's technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events.
