Substation Project Engineer

HDR is looking for a Substation Project Engineer to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals. The role involves supporting project preparation, designing physical substations, and coordinating with other departments.

Requirements

• Support preparing scopes, schedules, and budgets
• Understand, develop, and deliver physical substation designs
• Develop and deliver protection and control designs
• Prepare electrical calculations for studies and reports
• Prepare equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing
• Coordinate design activities with other departments
• Effectively communicate and coordinate project activities with manager, clients, and others
• Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Engineers, Project Coordinators or Designers, or BIM Technicians
• Perform other duties as needed
