Requirements
- Ability to operate GMAW (MIG) GTAW (TIG) and follow WPS welding processes (3G/3F)
- RWMA (Spot Weld) resistance welding processes and follow WPS welding processes
- Ability to operate an oxy-acetylene torch (brazing process a plus)
- Knowledge of weld symbols and where to look them up
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques, materials and equipment
- Proficient in using shop tools related to welding fit up (such as grinders)
- Able to demonstrate basics of blueprint reading, read a tape measure and calipers
- Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
- Accurately reports shop floor production data via computer and/or written reporting
- Performs operator maintenance on equipment
