Middle School Science Sub Teacher (1 semester)

Head-Royce School is seeking a full-time science teacher for a 1-semester position, starting in August for the 26-27 school year. The ideal candidate will be a culturally responsive, flexible, and enthusiastic educator who is excited to join our community of learners and collaborate with us on living our mission and core values.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge and practice of culturally responsive teaching and learning
• Collaborative, flexible colleague with Middle School history and science teaching experience
• Clear communicator with students, colleagues, and parents
• Demonstrated knowledge of a child’s social/emotional development and developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Experience designing lessons based in Understanding by Design (UbD)
• Strong organizational skills

Benefits

• $75,000 - $125,000 a year
• Salary prorated depending on percentage of full-time employment
