Upper School Mandarin Teacher

Head-Royce School is seeking a full-time Upper School Mandarin teacher to join our team, beginning in August 2026. We seek teachers who are not only excited by the content they teach, but who are also actively engaged in evolving their classroom pedagogy.

Requirements

• Experience teaching Mandarin at a variety of levels.
• Empathetic, warm, and clear communicator with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Demonstrated understanding of and curiosity regarding curriculum design as well as varied pedagogical approaches including UbD and UDL.
• Strong speaking, writing, planning, and organizational skills.
• Desire to collaborate with other educators and the flexibility to do so.
• Ability to participate in an outdoor education trip for three nights (additional stipend paid).

Benefits

• $75,000 - $125,000 a year
