Upper School Spanish Teacher

Head-Royce School is seeking a full-time Upper School Spanish teacher to join our team. We seek teachers who are excited by the content they teach and actively engaged in evolving their classroom pedagogy. The ideal candidate has a strong academic background, experience in culturally responsive teaching, and a genuine fondness for working with adolescents.

Requirements

• Experience teaching Spanish at a variety of levels
• Ability to teach a heritage oriented Spanish class
• Empathetic and clear communicator with students, colleagues, and parents
• Demonstrated understanding of and curiosity regarding curriculum design and varied pedagogical approaches
• Strong speaking, writing, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to participate in an outdoor education trip for three nights
