Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Headspace is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Platform group. The role will be responsible for building out the core capabilities required to onboard and grow B2B customer installations, including authentication, payments, entitlements, and shared services. The successful candidate will have significant opportunities to shape and own projects, author and review technical specifications, and pinpoint areas for improvement in our products and tech stack.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of professional development experience, building APIs and services
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on projects
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex full-stack projects across product and technology initiatives
• Strong expertise in modern backend frameworks such as Python (Django), Typescript (Node.js)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a positive mindset to identify, collaborate, and drive solutions
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
