Senior Data Science Manager, Population Health

Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access. We're a Series D company with over $325m in funding from a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures and Health Care Service Corporation. We're looking for a Senior Data Science Manager to lead insights and data science across Headway’s Payer Group which is a key pillar that works with our health insurance partners.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or growth analytics roles
• 4+ years of experience working with healthcare data
• 3+ years in people management
• Experience partnering with stakeholders across product, marketing, engineering, operations
• Experience working on patient health outcomes, enhancing care delivery for providers, and/or working within a health insurance landscape
• Proven track record leading teams that span BI, product analytics, and applied data science
• Strong background in experimentation; able to both set strategy and coach others
• Hands-on technical fluency in SQL and Python/R, with experience working with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Looker)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to “translate” technical insights into business impact
