Job Description
Knoxville Recovery Center is seeking a substance abuse counselor to join their multidisciplinary team. The counselor will provide psychotherapy and support to individuals struggling with addiction, and will be responsible for managing a caseload of 6-7 clients at a time.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license as a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LADAC or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse treatment or a related mental health setting.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches specific to addiction and co-occurring disorders.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.
