Job Description
The Mental Health and Addiction Service (MHAS) Community Outreach Nurse Practitioner RN (NP) is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions.
Requirements
- Three (3) years nursing experience
- one (1) year of experience working with the vulnerable population
- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
