Hospital Tech-Center For Medically Fragile Children

This Hospital Tech I position assists nurse with patient care and treatment, performing clerical duties, bath/hygiene measures, and assisting with daily living activities. The role requires accurate record-keeping and communication with nursing staff. Management retains the right to add or change duties at any time.

Requirements

• Performs clerical duties, which may include answering phones, taking and delivering messages, and providing information to patients.
• Answers patients' signals, assesses patient's needs, and communicates request to pertinent individuals as necessary; provides for needs of the patient and family members when possible.
• Records vital signs accurately and reports any changes to the nurse.
• Performs bath and hygiene measures, feeding and other activities of daily living as necessary.
• Participates in the care of the patient by lifting, turning, and repositioning the patient, utilizing proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Helps prepare patients for treatments, exams, procedures and assists with/chaperones procedures as appropriate in current clinical setting
• Requirements: High school diploma/GED. Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: N/A
