The special procedures technologist operates the CT scannerRadiographic equipment to include CT, X-ray and Fluoroscopic, and makes radiographs of designated portions of the patient’s body. Performs high quality CT Radiological examinations on patients of all ages, addressing and responding to their individual needs appropriately.
Requirements
- Enter all exam charges into system and/or direct them to Material Services and Pharmacy as appropriate.
- Maintain exam room, equipment, and supplies in an orderly fashion, so as to always be ready for the next patient.
- Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory and professional standards.
- Participate in working all shifts in the department to include weekends and holidays.
- Possess the ability to react objectively, using good judgment in crisis situations and on specific issues.
- Maintains education, knowledge, and training required to provide up-to-date quality care to patients and to stay current with CEU requirements as required by the ARRT.
- Adheres to the Hutchinson Health Employee Values.
- Maintains confidentiality of the organization and patients.
- Reports any health/medical errors.
- Observes all Environment of Care policies and reports safety risks or hazards immediately.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
