Job Description
Hearst Television is hiring an Azure Data Engineer to lead the build of our next-generation data platform, designing and deploying complex ETL/ELT pipelines and ensuring seamless, scalable data flow from diverse source systems into our OneLake environment.
Requirements
- 5–7 years as a Data Engineer in an enterprise environment with a proven track record in Azure Cloud
- Deep proficiency in Azure-native components, including Azure Data Lake Gen2, API Gateway, and Microsoft Fabric
- Expert-level Python (including API development with FastAPI) and SQL across relational and NoSQL databases
- Strong hands-on experience with Spark (PySpark) and Delta Lake principles
- Demonstrated experience with serverless compute (Azure Functions) and YAML-based CI/CD workflows
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate is strongly preferred
