Heart & Stroke is looking for an experienced Communications Advisor to help advance its mission impact of promoting health, saving lives and enhancing recovery across Canada. The role involves delivering integrated communications strategies, elevating awareness of Heart & Stroke’s impact, and protecting and strengthening a trusted national brand.
Requirements
- University or college degree in communications, public relations, marketing or business, or related technical degree
- Minimum 5-7 years related work experience, with management experience in non-profit and/or healthcare industry preferred
- Ability to align plans and activities with organizational goals and objectives
- Experience working with reporters, developing social strategies and content, and managing public engagement programs
- Knowledge of communications strategy development and execution, media monitoring and tracking software, and the not-for-profit industry
